  CARL: Hey, listen. I had every right to stay in the lane I was in.

  You were supposed to wait until I passed to pull out.

  And anyhow, you didn't give me any time to change lanes.

  All of a sudden--BANG--there you are right in front of me.

  TOM: I think my arm is broken.

  CARL: Sorry about your arm, but it serves you right.

  You need to learn how to drive.

  You're lucky you didn't get killed. And I'm lucky to be alive too.

  TOM: Listen, let's just wait until the police get here.

  Then we can decide whose fault this accident was.

  CARL: Fine with me. I know the laws of the road. I'm not worried.

  TOM: I have a cell phone in my car. Now it's probably on the floor on the passenger side.

  Why don't you get it for me, and then I can call the police?

  CARL: Alright.

  TOM: It doesn't work. It looks like it's broken.

  I need to get to a hospital. You should drive me there.

  湯姆：我的手臂斷了。

  卡爾：我很抱歉，但是你活該。

  你需要學學開車。

  你沒死很幸運，我還活著也很幸運。

  湯姆：聽著，我們就等警察來這里。

  到時看看這場車禍是誰的錯。

  卡爾：我沒問題，我懂道路法規，我才不擔心。

  湯姆：我的車上有手提電話，現在可能掉到人行道上了。

  你幫我拿來，我來打電話報警。

  卡爾：好。

  湯姆：不能用，好像壞了。

  我必須去醫院，你應該開車送我過去。

  卡爾：是嗎?

  我們先等警察來比較好，然后你再去醫院。

  湯姆：該死!我受傷了，等警察來可能要等上一整天。

  卡爾：那你也只好等了。

  警察沒來，我是不會把車開走的。

  我要到附近的人家去打電話。

  別擔心，你會及時趕到醫院的。

  湯姆：真的很痛。

  卡爾：或許吧。

  但是如果你再像剛剛那樣開車

  你就要習慣皮肉之痛了。你知道我的意思吧。

  湯姆：去死吧你。這場車禍是你的錯。

  卡爾：恐怕不是喔。

  等警察來你就會知道是誰的錯了。

  不跟你吵了，我要去找電話。
