In this way, professors can help students to cope with their problems accordingly. Also, students can figure out their weakness via tests and review those incorrect parts so as to have better performance next time.
For drawbacks, surprising quizzes will foster a kind of intense study atmosphere, which will farther burden the students who have been already confronted with huge stress. Even worse, sometimes they are not ready for the tests since they have no idea when exactly test will be delivered. Therefore, it is likely for them to gain low scores in test, which leads to negative impacts on their GPA and even the application for college.
